Our first real date was a baseball game
Bought her Cracker Jack's During the third inning she asked if I wanted to marry her I looked over at the plastic ring in her hand, Then at the empty box As I slipped the ring on my pinky finger I said, Baby I do, I've loved you so long I want to spend the rest of my life with you After all the planning, the day's arrived The organ's playing, best man by my side The Pastor's there with his Bible in hand I've waited so long But now that it's here, man I'm so scared Her song begins, everyone stands I'm so nervous, can't wait to put that ring on her hand The thought runs through my head, Baby I do, I've loved you so long I want to spend the rest of my life with you Hair piled atop her head Veil in front, train at the end We exchange our vows, Exchange the rings Pastor asks the question as she looks at me I say, Baby I do, I've loved you so long I want to spend the rest of my life with you Baby I do I do Rest of my life Oh, oh baby I do
