Forgotten Youth
In memory of my friend Robby...

Well I think too much,
And at times it can be wrong.
But as hard as it is
I won't admit that you're gone.

The silence is so sound,
As I try to find the words.
I want to speak of old days
But "I'm sorry" is all I heard.

I want to remember the smiles
And the serenity that you blessed.
And with a lull and a light,
From all the chaos you shall rest.

Am I wrong
To think
That this won't be the end?
For someday,
I know,
I will see you again.

And you are without doubt,
The strength that lets them stand.
But you're gone and so now
They have to find another hand.

One to grasp and to hold,
And to tell them it's all right.
One to heal and to soothe,
And to guide them through the night.

Am I wrong
To think
That this won't be the end?
For someday,
I know,
I will see you again.

Is it wrong
To think
That this is not the end?
I will never forget you,
So promise me the same,
My friend.
