The Defeat?
It was a terrible turn of events That led him to this dismal time A victory seemingly turned sour Ready to destroy the divine Speeches not more than purulent bilge Finagled the restless crowd of men And they sought to put the onus on him And bring Him to a tragic end Castigated by cruel and gauche remarks His back striped with cruel whips Though he had done no wrong to them Still he was betrayed by Judas lips. Yet dismal is not always what it seems And men’s might is not absolute The victory they thought had won Became their seed of a bitter fruit. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Words required to be used by "Para/Poem Challenge "Open"" Bilge...Gauche...Onus...Dismal...Finagle...Judas
