My Defeat
What you get for playin' with my heart on the job

Discipline holds you
down like a supernova.
Testosterone, though,
lets you rage like a fire.

I watch you and her
as you wander through the day.
Eyes wide, mouths moving;
your innocence is betrayed.

Yet you are messing
with the wrong person 'round here.
I am quite vengeful
and unafraid of your spell.

Instead of moping,
I'm profiting off your soul.
Raise me three hundred.
You'll be bankrupt before dawn.

While you seduce her,
I'll be swimming in the dough.
And when it's over,
you will be lost and confused.

Forget about that.
Hey, I'm quotin' what you say.
You messed with my heart.
Now you're really in trouble.

Guess the vixen wins.
I guess I'm down for the count.
She won, and I lost
(but perhaps it's for the best).
Nobody loves me; hell no.
