Christmas Alone
A poem of being secluded in a country home on Christmas.

Christmas Alone

The ground is covered in a deep snow.
That surrounds my cozy country home.
Icicles have frozen on the window pane.
Caused by the cold and freezing rain.

I am secure with all the provisions I need.
Food, water, and wood to burn for heat.
I'm here good and relax with contentment.
In my cozy cabin where silence prevails.

Let it snow and let the freezing wind blow.
I'm in hibernation I am warm from the cold.
Here I sit in peace with silence around me.
Thoughts of Christmas revive my memory.

Christmas day I spent with all my siblings.
All the love we shared was overwhelming.
Those days with Mommy, Dad, and kids.
I cherished those loving memories of then.

For now they keep me in great company.
The snow on Christmas is pure and white
Christmas is merry with His love tonight.
I'll ponder these memories tomorrow night.
