The Trap of Anger

By: Tracey Criswell Wilson

Tear down the wall of anger,
and let me be free,
there's too much hatred,
Please, just let me be.

I try so hard to understand,
why these feelings get so out of hand.
Is everyone damned to walk around in pure hell,
or is this our choice, our own personal jail.

Can we ever get free enough to heal?
Or is this anger, an emotion we'll always feel?
I walk around in such misery,
my answers will not come with wizardry.

Anger is a disease which eats away at your soul,
It makes your once red heart, black as coal.
There is nothing worse than feeling no remorse,
and that's what anger does, when it plays its course.

Tear down the wall of anger,
and let me be free,
there's too much hatred,
Please, just let me be.
