I Am No Different

         I Am No Different

I took a walk through old town today
And I looked into the eyes
Of those I met along the way
And saw the look when hope dies

It made me remember the grace
That has been granted to me
In forgiving my mistakes
No matter what the degree

For my ways are sometimes wanton
And my thoughts are not always pure
But I am thankful for his grace
And that his redeeming is sure

And as I looked into those eyes
I was reminded of who I am
That I am beholden to him
The one who is God’s perfect lamb.
