A Simple Prayer

A simple prayer for a complicated world. Here are some things I pray for to help me in my daily travels. Hopefully it will help you in your walk with Christ.



Lord God, I lift this prayer up...

I pray for:

Serenity to see the day through,
Contentment with my finances,
Patience in abundance with my difficulties,
Encouragement to all I meet,
Compassion for my fellow man,
Means needed to help my neighbor,
Faith in the face of hardships,
Kindness toward those around me,
Perseverance to stave the temptations away,
Honesty in all words exiting my mouth,
Hope when the world turns dark,
Opportunities to share You with others,
Forgiveness in spite of my wrongdoings,
Grace, though I could never be worthy,
and Backbone so I will not fall to hypocrisy.

I fall so short of Your glory, but You love me the same despite my inadequacies. Lord, lastly I ask that You grant me the same capacity to love, as You love me. Help me to walk in Your ways eternally.
