My Passion, My Horses

I crave the earthy smell,
Burying my face in the warmth.
Soft hair covering strength,
Courage and pure nature.

A gift of trust given
To ride astride strong backs.
For no one dictated burden
Be borne by this noble creature.

A bliss and joy in life,
Respectful relationship forged
With these four-legged wonders;
Spirit and heart on hooves.
