When we were together, We were as one as two could be. Happiness to sorrow was foretold. Warm kiss became a cold mist; Turning cheek for my lips to hold. Many shared our room at night Vows broken till morning light. Stranger with the face I know, Arms reach to hold on; Broken hearts letting go. I shudder at the thought of her. Loving eyes as she deceives. So close to me; So well known too. Only the fool believes. If I should see her once again; What message to convey? Words my lips cannot utter; For my eyes speak of shame that day.
