The Path of Most Resistance

testing every choice I make
holding me back when I get a break
always making sure I am bound
not letting my happiness be found
and going to every single length
to make sure I lose my strength
on my path they want me to desist
when I try to grow, they're quick to resist
I have something in my sight
and I'll go on with the will to fight
nothing will permanently hold me back
and keep me off the beaten track
