FINAL DESTINY The last words written on the page, Now weathered and showing age, Grow faint and difficult to read; A testimony of want and need. To be set aside or thrown away, The words written here today, Will not last throughout the years; A summary of my loves and tears. They await their final destiny Upon a shelf where none can see, And no one reads and no one has heard The magic in the written word. The thoughts now scattered in the wind, Gone forever, will not come again; Years may go by without anyone Seeing the me when I was young. Countrymom 1/17/04
