1.) At the top of the screen click on WRITING
2.) On this page click on BOOK 3.) Fill in the form a.) Item title your choice b.) Folder leave at my portfolio or choose where you want it to go c.) Item Type Choose collection, journal, or novel d.) Brief Description what your book will be about e.) Intro Rating should always be e f.) Content Rating should be whatever content you plan to write g.) Access Restriction choose who you want to see your book; if you intend to use a passkey option on your book you must set this to private. h.) Pass Key only enter a number or word in here if you want your book to be viewed by invitation only, note access must be set to private for this to work. i.) Group Edit Access if you are in a group and you want them to be able to go into your item and edit it for you set this to the group that you want to give permission too. j.) Group Edit Level each member of a group has a level, in order for a member to be able to edit your item their level must be listed here. k.) Select Genres always a good idea to select at least one based on what your book is about. l.) Relevant Keywords you can place in here a list of words that would generate your item to appear if a search for items was done on the site by a member. Example: if your keyword is ROSE, and a member did a search for ROSE, then your item would appear in their search results. m.) Item Body this section is for dress-up, like an introduction into your book. You can provide anything in this area including text and images. n.) Book Entry Format Blog Format; 20 Entries Per Page o.) Rating/Review Preference use Allow if you want your book to show up on public listings and received a rating if members choose to complete it. Use DO NOT ALLOW if you do not want your item rated, if you do not want your item to appear on public listings. Choosing this will allow anyone that reads your item to send you an email. 4.) Click save and you're done. 5.) Click save and view if your not quite done, but want what you have done to be saved and not lost should you have a power outage, or logged off the site for inactivity.
