The Prompt was to write a "Huitain quadripertitius caudatus". This is a 8-line poem, with 8 syllables to each line and a rhyme pattern of AAABCCCB. Topic is of one's own choice.

MIXED FORTUNES

Yesterday, I sat down to think ...
If my fortunes were to now sink,
I'd become poor in an eye-blink ...
Then no one would look at me twice;
And what if cash came to me quick,
I'd collect kith and kin so thick,
I would suddenly become sick,
But even then, it would be nice!
