After a little thought and a whole lot of ~cough..ahem~ coaxing by my friends, I came to the conclusion ~glances at the friends with their arms crossed and feet tapping impatiently, out of sight of the readers~ that I need to take some of the sage advice I’ve shared with them and share it with the rest of my Writing.Com family.
One of the most common comments I get in reviews I’ve received, is how I make the reader feel like they’re right there with my character(s), actually watching things take place. Or, my words have prompted them to remember a similar time in their life that I have written about. Times forgotten till a word or expression trips open a door to that very moment in their life. I am a Mind Painter, simply put. Microsoft Works is my canvas, the brushes are my fingers, my palette is my mind, my paints are emotions, expression, and the five senses. How do I do that, you ask? Mind painting is all about sight, sound, smell, taste and touch. I close my eyes and let these sensations take over. From there, I begin to paint. This will be an appendix of how I develop the many facets of my stories and poetry. Each part will be linked to its perspective article as I complete them.
