Today's Prompt is:
"Today is _________!" With a story or poem, fill in the blank, however, you can't make this holiday a day named after you. Also you are required to give a brief description of its history and why and how we've come to celebrate it. Today is "Do Totally Nothing Day!" My favorite day of the year. There's only one rule to celebration, Spend most of the day on your rear. I invented it myself just last Tuesday, When I simply couldn't take anymore. I was headed for a sure nervous breakdown, Men with straight jackets would soon storm my door. So...don't roll out of bed when the alarm rings, Be sure you don't clean up the house. Going to work or to school is a no-no. You must sit and be quiet as a mouse. Catch up on the reading you're backed up on, Write letters to family and friends. Pig out on some cookies and chocolates, 'Tis the day to be slothful and mend. For we work way too hard on the average. Too much stress and concern rule each life. How healing to have this one day every year; An excuse for a day free of strife!
