HOW GREAT THE DEBT I OWE

The beauty radiant in her face, the lovelight in her eyes ~
the solace found in her embrace; her ways so pure and wise.

Wisdom of deep insight born and woven through her soul;
her guidance, tainted not by scorn, that renders torn hearts whole.

Memories and lessons taught; cherished moments shared ~
these my Mother's hands have wrought as for us each she cared.

Lives influenced well and healed, made better for the touch;
such is the power her love wields ~ and many gain so much...

by virtue of her drawing near and her example set ~
heartaches soothed, the way made clear, all needs and hungers met.

Whatever goodness dwells in me; all righteous deeds achieved,
all the best that I can be... are legacies she leaves.

How blessed I am by God above ~ how great the debt I owe
to have to cherish Mother's love wherever I may go...

a love transcending earthly bounds into the Life Beyond;
breathing life into my birth and past the final dawn.

Hear pledged from deep within my soul, beloved Mother, mine,
this daughter's vow of love untold, immortal for all time.

Know that now and evermore our two hearts beat as one ~
accept my lasting gratitude for all that you have done.

For from you comes the precious gift of life itself and more;
your ways inspire and uplift ~ and many hearts restore.

If when God calls me back to Him in His Realm far beyond,
it can be said as earthlight dims that my life mirrored Mom's...

no greater homage can be paid ~ no higher value lent
than furthering the part she's played in countless lives well spent

And I shall go to God above with these words first to say;
"Thank You for my Mother's love and every golden day...

that I was honored ~ humbled ~ blessed ~ to call her and no other...
Beloved, Precious, First, and Best ~
my wondrous, treasured Mother."

~~~ Happy Birthday and Happy Valentine's Day, Beloved Mama! ~~~
