A country-western song. Ya'll make up your own tune.
Leaving My Past On a train bound for Buffalo As the sun slowly faded in the west I left my mama and puppy Cause my life was such a mess Me and Laverne had been a fussin’ About the greater things of life Like is the fork on the outside Or should it be the knife Chorus: And as I rolled down them tracks I knew I was never coming back Cause when my bags were packed I had walked right out'a that shack Well a lady a settin' b'side me Pulled her dictionary from her bag And she thumbed through them pages As it lay upon a folded flag Then pullin' a candle from her purse To its wick she set a flame And claimed she was a writer Who had achieved a lot of fame Chorus: And as I rolled down them tracks I knew I was never coming back Cause when my bags were packed I had walked right out'a that shack Well, she had the right equipment That a guy would ever need And she shared it gladly Without any hint of greed For my past was quickly fading All the heartaches were falling behind And I moved a little closer Cause she was looking better all the time. Chorus: And as I rolled down them tracks I knew I was never coming back Cause she gave me a snort of smack And now I was totally whacked! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Words required to be used by "Para/Poem Challenge "Open"" Buffalo...Puppy...Dictionary...Candle...Writer...Disappearing
