BROUGHT TO OUR KNEES

** #813711 Not An Image **

True love can happen, the fever begun,
When people meet and hearts are won;
It happened to us when Cupid's bow
Released an arrow and laid us low!
****Heart****
Our wedding day soon did arrive,
We were both young and so alive;
At the alter we kneeled to pray,
(Our kneepads really saved the day!)
****Heart****
Years go by and we've grown old,
Another true love story told;
We plan soon our vows to renew,
But kneeling's getting hard to do.
****Heart****
We get down; can we get up again?
I've gotten fat and he's way too thin!
The old wedding picture I do adore,
Brought to our knees, just once more.
****Heart****
A closer look at the photograph
Made me mad, I didn't laugh!
On his shoes "Help Me" was written,
Now I wonder if he was really smitten!
****Heart****
Then I looked him square in the eye
And asked my love "Why, just WHY?";
He laughed and said it was a joke,
It was then his nose I broke!
****Heart****
Brought to our knees in different shoes,
He's not laughing, has the blues!
Instead of saying "I do", he says "I did"
Still a kidder, just an old kid!
****Heart****
