It Waits
If we only knew...

My mind races to be where it's going,
At the same time longing to be where it was.
My life tries to keep up;
Dodging shadows, pretending reality, seeking light.

While deep inside this that I call me,
A knowing center waits in silence,
With infinite patience, forever trusting
Some day I'll give up.

Too tired to play the game anymore,
Too disheartened to care...
I'll sit in supposed defeat and despair
And finally find the now, that always knew I was here.
