I just always do, What I have to do, To get through these Lonely nights, Without you. Standing on the corner, About 10:00 pm. Watching passing cars Go by, Again and again. Kind of makes me feel, Like I'm cruising the scene. Back to the time of being, Sweet sixteen. Rolling down the highway, Get it in gear and rip. Got to get a good spot At the Sit & Dip. Check out the line-up, Yeah she's on tonight. Comes walking in, Man she's looking all right! She smiles at me and says; "What will it be?" Jukebox is rocking, She begins to sing. Smiling I tell her; "I want everything." She say's "Hon you know that it can't be done." "What would she say if she knew you were having fun"? I said "Yeah Red you got it really right tonight." "I'm in over my head. Thanks for helping me See the light". Bag up those burgers, Cuz I have to go. I got just enough time, To make the late show.
