Your words can move mountains, if you desire
Or they can spoil your spirit When you seek deceitful to conspire --Will you let them rot within you, Or will you breathe out that voice to inspire? Your words can lift you to new heights, Shine a light to break your darkness Or they can bury you deep in your plights --Will you let them dwell in the rancid sewers, Or fly higher than golden kites? Your words can give power to the powerless, Feeding those hungry for love Or they can wound and sting, being merciless --Will you let them fall stagnant on sore ears, Or pronounce your love until breathless? Your words can be guided by the mighty God above, Bringing forth wisdom as your voice sounds Or the world can give them a pelting shove --Will you let them stumble aimlessly into the murk Or guide them with heaven's abounding love?
