WITHIN MY SOUL'S EMBRACE Hello again, dear friend of mine ~ seems all the years that passed simply circumvented time and brought our hearts at last to where we met and bonds were formed that sealed a friendship true ~ bonds not ravaged, dimmed, nor torn still hold me close to you. For in my heart and in my life, not one could take the place you've held through sorrows, joy and strife ~ the moments we've embraced. Tumultuous times and times serene ~ together, through them all... each spirit by the other seen, and buoyed from every fall. Side by side, each dragon slain that life placed in our path; we vanquished fears, then laughed our way through chaos' aftermath. Deepest secrets known and shared; held safe in gentle hands ~ bruised hearts healed well by one who cared, mending tattered strands. Dreams reborn and once more lost ~ these things we've faced and more... within life's storms confused and tossed as grief through our souls tore. And yet, the storms were always stilled; the shrieking gales made calm ~ the voided places once more filled and soothed with loving balm... that only sisters can provide as soulmates and as friends; sisters there despite the tides that rage and ebb again ~ steadfast and unwavering; never far away... impervious to all life brings and true in every way. The sparkling diamond in the sand when windswept tides retreat... the precious jewel in one's hand that every heart entreats. All this and more you are, dear friend ~ as you have always been ~ though miles may keep you far from me, I'll never lose my friend. Distance, illness, change and years ~ none forced our souls apart; for what we've with each other shared was precious from the start. From the moment I met you ~ a hallmark in my life, all you are came shining through ~ woman... mother, wife. How you champion ~ then and now ~ the every wondrous trait that God and Angels true avow within the Heavenly gates! Everything mere man can be ~ all goodness man achieves, you embody each of these ~ and in you God is pleased. The light and love found woven through the fiber of your being warms and comforts many who have wandered, lost and needing. Every soul your heart has touched now knows God does exist ~ your example teaches much about His greatest gifts. Loving others, ever caring; your endearing ways parallel what Christ was sharing all His earthly days. Everything He offered man, your life is tribute to ~ all God gave by His Son's hand, He gives again in you. Why God saw fit to grant to me a cherished friend in you ~ His purpose I can't know or see ~ and yet, through all I do are woven strands of love for you I'll treasure for all time... beyond a friend ~ a sister who I'm honored to call mine. Bonds woven with these threads of love surrender not their strength ~ for God Himself sent you, sweet dove, to weave through me their lengths. The fabric of my life made whole and glistening in the sun for having glimpsed your wondrous soul before my life was done. When it ends and time on earth grows short and then is through, eternally ~ and beyond then ~ I'll go on loving you. I'll hold you in my heart of hearts as all you've come to be ~ a precious and integral part of any good in me. Your soul forever will remain within my own's embrace ~ captured in my heart's refrain beyond earth's time and space. And on the day I stand before my Heavenly Father above, the blessing I'll first thank Him for is that of your dear love. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LifeWriter's Philosophy: "Blessed are those who can give without remembering and take without forgetting." ~ Elizabeth Bibesco ...and she lives by these words every day.
