A Prayer "To Remember"

Dear God, please grant me the peace and wisdom to understand that what happens to me is not who I am.

Help me to see the balance that must be found in life between light and dark, hope and despair, joy and sorrow.

Help me to know that I have the ability to consciously chose the light, the hope, and the joy.

Help me to understand that dark, despair and sorrow are actually gifts if I but see my way through them to find lessons and growth, and to more appreciate their opposites - light, hope and joy.

Help me to recognize the inner strength you have given me; to know that I am but a small part of you and therefore worthy of manifesting in my life all that you are.

Help me to remember that in spite of all the negativity in the world, the trials I might face, the challenges and hardships...help me please to always hold in my heart the truth that Love is the foundation you have given us to build on.

Help me never to lose sight of the light that Love is always shining to ultimately guide my way.
