Bridges of sanity

Last evening my mind wandered
Away from the real world, to a place unknown:
Where it woke to a crazy Utopian world of "rights"
- men spoke the truth, women dressed simply,
-governments worked without a fuss,
promoting peace and brotherhood everywhere!
-thieves did not steal, robbers never robbed,
-rapists stayed in their homes and
-gamblers played without money or cash
-everyone ate till they bloated full,
-poverty and crime did not exist!
Then my mind jolted into a real world
with chicanery, cheating and vice,
crimes, murders and rapes,
inefficient governments, impotent leaders,
hunger, defeat, war and battle-
and I tried to build between the two,
Bridges of sanity ...
With a new drugged dream.
