An interview with Shaddowsspawn on "What prompted you to create "Bids For Sigs? for Roobear's campfire, "Invalid Item.

Hmmmm…what prompted me to create the forum/contest, "Bids For Sigs?

MomKathleen, as dubbed in "Bids For Sigs by some shadowy figure (who lurked amongst the shadows for awhile and then pounced wholeheartedly onto the bidding boards *Wink*), searches her last few remaining brain cells for an answer. Well, rumor is…while my exhausted brain’s right hemisphere was mentally vacationing in the Bahamas due to writer’s block, my left hemisphere was determined to discover a way to continue supporting Writing.Com, and more specifically, "RAOK Upgrade Brigade Group. *Smile* (For anyone not familiar with "RAOK Upgrade Brigade Group, it is a very caring and sharing forum that offers upgrades to members, awarding them exposure to all the benefits offered throughout our wonderful domain, and which depends upon donations of gp’s from the community to continue their worthwhile work.) Thus, the painless birth of "Bids For Sigs. Hoping to support "RAOK Upgrade Brigade Group, and using my on-line education of Paint Shop Pro (PSP), I began the forum with some artistically questionable signatures. Bidders wandered in and out, and some actually posted bids for my creatively impaired sigs! *Delight* And, seven months, later, bidders are still posting donations for my sigs, plus those of some really talented creators, who have donated their designs to the forum.

Now, I cannot claim responsibility for the success of "Bids For Sigs. That has come solely from the generosity of its bidders…~ahem~, such as yourself. The forum has been blessed with a following of regular posters, who whether bidding or not, continually add an atmosphere of comedy and caring to the posting board. It’s just a fun place to visit, regardless if you have a pocketful of gp’s to bid, or merely want to lovingly antagonize or support another poster!

Oh goodness, I sound like a rambling grandma without any grandkids to bore with my story! *Laugh* So, to summarize, "Bids For Sigs was planted out of my love and support of Writing.Com and "RAOK Upgrade Brigade Group, plus lack of inspiration to add to my portfolio. But, it blossomed from the nurturing bids and daily posts of our awesome members! I never could have visualized the friendships and extreme generosity that would evolve from the absence of my verbal imagination, and thus the creation of "Bids For Sigs! ~Thanks and Kudos~ to you all our bidders and posters!
