Garden
Extended metaphor poem for SLAM
Rated:

Avg Rating: (2)
As the smallest seed
struggles to emerge
from the dark of earth,
your fear begins
deceivingly, feigning
insignificance but harboring
explosive growth.

Once emerged it multiplies
daily, nourished by the
moisture of words spoken
and written, fertilized by the
expert opinions...patiently
waiting to fully mature in
its dysfunctional splendor.

Beware this weed that
will eventually strangle
the beautiful flowers of
potential that once
blossomed in harmony
within your garden of self.
