Tea With Mr. Lonely
Another favorite (from 2001). This one is a bit twisted, but fun!

It’s just me and Mr. Lonely,
That’s how it’s gonna be
My heart is all in shambles,
Shattered on the floor,
I lock my soul away
In a room without a key
And it sits in the dark and cold
With Mr. Lonely having tea.

My host serves his tea
In a cup and sorrow
Stirring in memories and
Sadness, one lump or two?
Squeeze in a drop of sour lies,
Thank you, Mr. Lonely.
My soul drinks its cup,
In the dark and cold,
Then reads its fortune
Of tea leaves in the bottom.

It’s just me and Mr. Lonely,
That’s how it’s gonna be
My heart is all in shambles,
Shattered on the floor,
I lock my soul away
In a room without a key
And it sits in the dark and cold
With Mr. Lonely having tea.

What do my soul’s tea leaves say?
Unless you get over your troubles
And on with your life,
Depending on your friends,
Your strength,
For help,
Forever you will sit
In the dark and cold
In this room without a key
With Mr. Lonely your only friend
Who sits with you
And serves you tea.
