** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** Raising a child isn't easy, It's a difficult thing to do, And sometimes they don't turn out the way You always wanted them to. But with all your love and guidance, Sometimes you can't compete With the pressure from their friends Or the pushers on the street. And when they start to shut you out, It's just so hard to cope With the harsh sting of reality That your child is taking dope. And unlike scrapes and scratches, The pain that's caused by drugs Is something you can't soothe away With kisses or with hugs. Someday soon the phone may ring And jar you from your sleep And you'll find you just lost someone That you tried so hard to keep. The signs were there and you saw them. Was there more you could have done? You fought the war on drug abuse But somehow, the drugs had won. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **
