Don't Leave Daddy

Don't leave Daddy.
I'm not ready to
let you go.
I may be grown-up,
but I'm still your little girl.

Take my hand, Daddy.
I'll hold on tight to
keep you here with me.
There is so much to do,
much left unsaid.

I need you, Daddy.
It's a big, cruel world
out there.
I'm not ready to face it
on my own yet.

Goodbye, Daddy.
Tears slide down my
grief-stricken face.
I struggle to let you go
on a journey that you
must travel alone.
