I sent a cute greeting to a friend across the miles, and she sent it back to me. It was an animated greeting of a large juicy red apple that had a bruised mark. The cutest worm, which was green in color, poked through that mark and sang "You are my bestest friend". I cried when the greeting was sent back to me, and it inspired these simple words, which was my reply to my friend. I know the word, bestest, isn't really correct in this poem, but I wouldn't change it for a million. You Are My Bestest Friend
I forwarded a greeting to you, And you sent it back to me. So, how come I cried? I'm so happy You are here with me. Blessings came With this wonder machine. Look what it did for us! Our hands forever touch From across the many miles. Though I miss that personal touch, It doesn't matter much. You're never far away. You're always here with me. You will always be my bestest friend
