A TEST OF FAITH

-Trying to cope with suicide-

How do you go on and how do you stand
When a life is ended and your mind demands
To know the why of what happened here,
When the reasons for dying are never clear.

It's a test of faith, you must go on -
With love in your heart for his brief song;
Hold memories of the good, forget the sadness,
Remember the smiles and times of gladness.

We who are left behind will mourn for years,
At times the memories will bring you tears;
But in time, when the world is still -
You'll see their face, the echo will fill

Your heart with peace, knowing somewhere
Your loved one lives in God's gentle care;
The roads we travel and the lives we know
Will one day be only an afterglow.
