Anger at Bad Poets
This is a poem from the point of view of a generic famous poet who is actually horrible.

While doing our standardized, end-of-the-year tests, we had to read a poem. It was "Computers" by an author who will remain nameless. It was horrible. It was the most simplistic collection of superfluous ideas that I have ever seen. In my anger, I was inspired to write this poem, in the spirit of bad, professional poems. Here it is:

Look at me. I write poems.
They have no rhyme or rhythm.
They contain no literary merit
whatsoever.
They are shallow.
But people know my name.
An out-of-touch English professor
thinks I'm amazing.
So I get paid.
For crap.

I hope you enjoyed that.
Actually, I hope you hated it!
