BARELY BREATHING We remember you. Staring through glass At your still, silent forms, Barely breathing. Look at you now. Taking tottering first steps On chubby, bent legs. Infectious giggles. Two tiny lives. Balancing precariously, Nourished by tubes, Barely breathing. How you’ve grown. Blossoming like flowers. Eyes full of wonder, Exploring life. Delicate cherubs. Arriving too soon. We whispered prayers, Barely breathing. Modern day miracles. Bringing innocent joy To your grateful family, Ever rejoicing.
