Triumph
pride humiliates me

I bear the burden proudly,
Head high
Amidst the praise.
Nobility by association-
He and I as one
Before bowing forms
And swaying fronds;
His royal feet are mine.
I carry Him
To gift the crowd;
It is I who lift Him
Above ordinary heads.
Are you seeing me?
Do you notice me?
One more ass
Parading Him to death.
