ENCHANTED DREAMS

Enchanted dreams in the night,
Beautiful creatures with golden wings
Taking flight from earthly bonds,
As a nightingale softly sings.

The musical sound of the water
As the tide rolls in and over the sand
A reality that only in dreams,
A mortal such as I can understand.

I awaken with deep regret
For the dreams are lost to me,
The beauty faded like a summer rose,
Enchanted dreams are just a fantasy.
