Misunderstood
People are often misunderstood due to their eccentricities.

Misunderstood

At the end of the block,
in a rickety old house,
lives an old woman.

She sweeps her yard,
curses the children
as they pass by.

"Witch!"
they shout at her.
"Old Hag!"

She shakes her broom
and rages at them.

No one goes near her door.
People fear what
(and who)
they don't understand.

She is simply eccentric.
She is lonely.
