they said to let you die
they said to leave you behind.
they said there was no hope
they said this to be kind.

but i seen my child.
i looked in her eyes.
i saw a gentle soul
that could hold no lies.

i brought you home
on christmas eve night.
what a gift i received
a soul with a precious light.

you are seventeen today
you are my perfect child..
some may say i am wrong
that my thoughts are wild.

you can not speak
you can not live alone.
but you are my angel
God's choosen clone.

so they said to leave you
they said to let you die.
they said it was too much
they spoke a lie.
