JACK AND JILL FLY A KITE
Jack and Jill went up the hill To fly a fancy kite; Jill looked on as Jack was gone, With kite, out of her sight. Jack flew up into the sky, Holding on to his kite; Jill went down, back to the town, Crying badly in fright. * Written in abcb 7-6-7-6 format * Grafted on the popular child rhyme where Jack falls down (and breaks his crown). Here he goes up. * Related poem: "JACK AND JILL AND HALLOWEEN" * My other poems for children are at: "CHILDREN'S CORNER" "SCIENCE, MEDICAL, LAW, HUMOR, CHILDREN" M C Gupta 5 June 2004
