Silent Beauty Forgets

The tempean and venust, sightly and svelte,
unfledged and tootlish child.
Hushed by Time’s noiseless sound of forgetfulness --
the radiant beauty gone wild.

Slipping away, while sightless and asleep,
the hard-visaged look regrets
its lumbering lovliness stolen,
as silent beauty forgets.
