Rubiyat Poem
Do you love? When you truly fall in love, do you really love the one? Or is your state convenience, in a matter not undone. Will there equality; are you each the same? Or are the sides of measure, forged in endless pun. Does your mate expect a shoulder, on which to cry upon? Yet pulls away in times of tears, from your world, withdrawn. Are we able to feel true love, not just simple words? Or can we love each other, and not ourselves, forgone. When parting is the future, do we feel remorse? Or is this just a memory, to recover in our course. Does your love have meaning, which stands the test of time? Or is it being proper, to call ourselves divorced? If your one has to leave, in time or just by fate – do we carry on; for another one we wait? Is our love just a shard, in the fragments of our lives? Or will our love so easily, turn to passive hate?
