CELEBRATING THE FOURTH

Fly high the flag this glorious day
and pause to remember its meaning,
for years ago our nation was formed
by patriots who were inspired by dreaming!

Freedom fought for and hard won, indeed,
Our forefathers saw ahead of their time;
They knew it would not be an easy task,
They had quite a mountain to climb.

The brave and the true saw the way through
And took up arms in defense of their land,
With no backward glance, not even a chance
That they would not make a stand.

Celebrate the Fourth with confidence now
As their sons and daughters march on,
To keep America free for people like me;
May the spirit of freedom live long!
