DIVINE LIGHT
When life is itself a pain, When the peace of mind is slain; When, to breathe, is punishment, Each heart beat, reminiscent Of the gnawing grief inside; When one just cannot abide By that doctrine of ‘Love all’ Since the world is full of gall; When all happiness is lost, When the mind is in a frost; When I am broken within Then I surrender to Him. And, then, in the darkness cold, A ray of light I behold; Coming from Him to my heart, Telling me never to part With hope, love and tolerance, Faith in his benevolence. And, then, all my grief is gone, After the light He has shone. * Written in 7-7 format M C Gupta 18 July 2004
