TIME WILL TELL
For whom tolls the warning bell? None knows, only time will tell. Since it begins in the womb, Till when it ends in the tomb, Life is full of surprises, Conjectures and surmises. Will it be a normal birth? Will it bring in gloom or mirth? How to know the nature’s ploy? Will it be a girl or boy? Will it be a true genius, Or mentally pernicious? Will the young person be bright? Will he be flawed or upright? Will he find a life partner? will it bring pain or succor? Will he earn enough in life? Will his be a daily strife? We live in uncertainties; Some in hardship, some in ease. But better remember that Worry even killed the cat. Hence, my friend, have faith in Him, Whether you may sink or swim. Don’t worry, just surrender To the will of the saviour. For whom tolls the warning bell? None knows, only He will tell. • Written in aabb, 7-7-7-7 format M C Gupta 26 July 2004
