The sun shines proud
On the first day of spring The birds sing out loud Of what the sun will bring Beautiful,radiant, flowers Oh tulips galore! The weeds grow small and glower As beauty reigns once more Afternoon has come With a sigh of a breeze Sent to hum a story Of a past winter freeze As evening draws near The crickets start to sing A song you only hear At the beginning of spring
