Not Quite Seaworthy
Like the tides, a lover must advance and recede.

Loving you came all too easy.
You flowed straight from my dreams,
Yet there's no port in your storm
And I'm not sound for the sea, it seems.

These waves of passion, I fear:
A storm that takes an awesome toll.
So please don't bring your thunder here,
And tell me that I own your soul.

Just give me sand beneath my feet
And a pleasant view of sea.
In time I shall abandon shore
To swim in destiny.
