Note to a tempestuous lover (12 line verse, sparse rhyme)
Loving you flowed swift and clear:
You hail from deep within my dreams.
Yet I can find no port in your storm,
And I'm not sound for the sea, it seems.

It's raging waves of passion, I fear:
Storms can take an awesome toll.
So please, don't bring your thunder here--
Telling me I own your soul--

But, give me sand beneath my feet,
A tantalizing view of sea:
In time I shall abandon shore,
And dare to swim in Destiny.
