OLD MOVIES

For only a quarter I used to go
To town to see a picture show,
And to this day I still recall
The old movies just had it all.

I really liked the westerns best,
When the hero was put to the test -
His horse had heart, and so did he;
You should have seen the villains flee!

Hidden away behind the rock,
The villains were in for a hefty shock!
The haunting music stepped up a pace,
It was rough when they were face to face.

With honor the handsome hero won,
As they always did, with the setting sun;
By the hollow tree he met his gal,
He'd hold her hands, but she was just a pal.

The old movies seemed to end like this,
He'd mount up and throw that gal a kiss;
He'd find another town and another foe -
But it made a pretty good movie show!
