The Tree Ate My Kite
The hazards of flying a kite when there are hungry trees about......

The Tree Ate My Kite

The tree ate my kite
With just one big bite!
Into the hollow
With a mighty great swallow.

It was new, bright and red
Now it's probably dead,
Eaten, you know,
To make the tree grow.

All that's left now
Is a string on the bough.
My lovely kite's gone!
It was feasted upon.

You won't catch me
Near that kite-eating tree.
It is greedy and bad,
That's the last meal it's had!
