"A Promise Broken"

I am in Hell.
This
is Hell . . . this
world-this place.
Tearing, screaming,
searing, scorching-
Hell.

He haunts me now,
Here in this
place.
He swore to me, by that
moon. (I should have known-
that inconstant moon.)
He tricked
me. He led
me
to believe.

Now I am
alone, here.
A fool
to believe his
promise.
