You Cannot Take My Freedom It was a black Tuesday in our nation’s life When evil swooped from the sky Black hearted vultures who came to destroy It was freedom they sought to deny Innocent people without thought or fear Commandeered in this evil scheme Snatched from the bosom of their loves Because of a mad man’s evil dreams Since that terrible day we’ve changed We study every face that we see Knowing that evil still threatens our life And at times we'd just rather flee But instead to those who would destroy Though you threaten us everyday We know you may kill our bodies But you’ll never take freedom away
